Usability Study for Education Website
Background:
The client was "the largest one-stop professional educational portal in Hong Kong... The portal incorporates information, resources, interactive communities and online services, and promotes the use of information technology (I.T.) in improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning." The client was interested in evaluating the website's main landing pages and several important features.
Summary of Work:
- The consulting services included expert reviews, content audits, usability tests and usability training.
- Parents, students and teachers were invited to the usability testing. Behaviors and preferences of users were discovered that could help for business development.
- The final deliverables included a management presentation which summed up the findings and recommendations of all the usability work, and training sessions for management and technical personnel.
